Diabetes is among the fastest-growing diseases in the world. The number of people with diabetes is expected to reach its peak with 50% of the world population affected in 2025. These figures include children, adults and pregnant women. The reasons for these wildly increasing numbers due to diet and lifestyle. Poor quality of refined fast food without vital substances as vitamins, minerals, amino acids, healthy hydro carbons, healthy fat etc., and content of heavy metal and plastic in food in combination with stress is the reason. A 2008 study completed in the U.S. found the number of American women entering pregnancy with pre-existing diabetes is increasing. In fact, the rate of diabetes in expectant mothers has more than doubled in the past six years. This is particularly problematic as diabetes raises the risk of complications during pregnancy, as well as increasing the potential for the children of diabetic mothers and children to become diabetic in the future.
